Cone Beam CT Scanner (CBCT)

CBCT is an imaging machine that gives Dr. Gedeon a complete 3D, x-ray view of your dental health. In just seconds it captures images of your teeth, bones, soft tissues, nerve pathways, and entire oral cavity. It’s completely noninvasive—you just sit comfortably while the scanner works around you. The CBCT operates with just a fraction of the radiation output of conventional CT machines found in many dental and medical facilities. That means it’s not only convenient to use, it’s safer! Dr. Gedeon uses the cone beam scanner extensively to plan dental implant placement procedures and to diagnose a variety of conditions.

Advanced Healing Techniques

Plasma-rich growth factors (PrGF) are a natural component of blood that can facilitate and accelerate your healing after dental implants and other treatments. Dr. Gedeon harvests these growth factors by taking a small sample of your blood and spinning it inside a centrifuge. This causes the components of the blood to separate, allowing him to isolate and withdraw the growth factors from it. He applies these growth factors into treatment sites in a concentrated form following bone grafting and other procedures. PrGF form a barrier over treatment like a scab develops over a wound to protect it during healing.
